If you have pension benefits in both arrangements, you don’t have to take these benefits at the same time as they are not linked in any way and will be paid separately. This means that when you retire you can choose when and how you take your pension benefits.
To manage your benefits in both schemes, it’s a really good idea to register for online access, if you haven’t already done so. This will let you view your pension benefits and update your personal details. You can also manage your investments in Your M&S Pension Saving Plan.
